The past four weeks, I have been conducting research on Mexican Nationals (aka braceros) in my hometown of Oxnard. I have spent many hours examining the local newspaper, Oxnard Press-Courier on microfilm and at newspaperarchive.com. In examining the newspaper, I came around two advertisements supporting the Bracero Program in Ventura County [see images below].

Oxnard’s Landmarks

This past summer, I conducted research in my hometown of Oxnard, CA. The goal was to collect information on the history of Mexicans in Ventura County, especially Oxnard. Here are some photos from this research, “location of struggles.”
