Today, I had the opportunity to go on a tour of Chicana/o murals in the Old South End of Toledo. It was led by one of my students, who this summer participated in a two-week mural project with international artist, Mario Torero and BGSU Art Village. The drive to empower the Toledo’s Chicana/o community through art y culture is being led by the Organization of Latino Artists (OLS) and Sofia Quintero Art & Cultural Center.
