I have been living in Mid-Michigan for over three years and only have experienced minimum traffic in the Detroit Metro! When I was trapped in traffic on the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/U.S._Route_101_in_California\">101 Freeway<\/a>, I was thinking about the how the State Freeway and Federal Interstate Systems had destroyed Mexican communities throughout California. In Ventura County, the 101 Freeway eased the Mexican communities of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vcreporter.com\/cms\/story\/detail\/neighborhood_watch\/5072\/\">Tortilla Flats<\/a> in Ventura, CA and downsized the Barry Street area of Camarillo, CA. Young Research Library at UCLA. I was trying to track down microfilm boxes in the Charles C. Teague Papers but no luck this time! But I had the opportunity to stop by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.srlf.ucla.edu\/\">University of California Southern Regional Library Facility<\/a> where I was able to track down issues of the <em>Farm Labor<\/em>. The Citizens for Farm Labor published this newsletter under the leadership of Henry Anderson.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/sinfronteras\/5041319648\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4153\/5041319648_305c7ca322.jpg?resize=500%2C375\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/sinfronteras\/5040696637\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4152\/5040696637_a08320595f.jpg?resize=375%2C500\" width=\"375\" height=\"500\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Henry Anderson was a key organizer, like <a href=\"http:\/\/egarc.ucr.edu\/about.html\">Ernesto Galarza<\/a> who called for the end of the Bracero Program! His drive to end the program is highlighted in <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.paradigmpublishers.com\/books\/BookDetail.aspx?productID=123174\">Guest Workers or Colonized Labor?: Mexican Labor Migration to the United States<\/a><\/em> by Gilbert Gonzalez.
